WHO TAUGHT YOU FEAR?

Promise. Isaiah 54:10.

Joshua 1:1-9.

The above scripture was The word of God to Joshua to prepare him for the job of leading the children of Israel to their promised land.

God who knows the end from the beginning knew Joshua will succeed but God also knew that the success will not be easy. The success will be faced with challenges but there were things God wanted Joshua to do that will guarantee the success.

Be strong

Be courageous.

Meditate on the word.

Be not afraid.

With this, it became obvious that though God promised success and will back up the promise with His grace, the fulfillment of the promise was not going to be easy.

God is saying to you “Do not be afraid if you will access my promise for a good success in what I have assigned you to do”.

Fear is one of the strongest enemies that will stand in our way of inheriting the promises of God so obviously fear is not of God.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

There is fear and there is spirit of fear. Fear comes with a spirit.

And if the spirit is not of God then it is from the devil. And if it is from the devil, then it is a destiny destroying spirit and so must not be entertained in our lives.

Fear is learnt, God did not create us with fear. WE learnt fear from childhood through all the rules and regulations from our parents. Don’t touch, don’t climb, don’t eat. It can kill… it will burn you etc…

THE BIG QUESTION TODAY IS WHO TAUGHT YOU TO FEAR? The real culprit is the devil.

WHY because he wants you to fail. He wants you to miss your promise. He wants you to miss your destiny. He wants to have victory over you.

The devil teaches fear but God teaches boldness, confidence, and sound mind. This is how we win the devil.

Fear is majorly in the mind, soul. But to deal with it, you need to renew your mind. Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
